Approved Refresher Courses

According to NAC 632.192 (4): An applicant for renewal of a license who has not practiced nursing during the immediately preceding 5-year period must complete a course or program approved by the board if he has otherwise satisfied the requirements for renewal set forth in this chapter and chapter 632 of NRS.

The refresher program includes both theory and clinical experience. After you select a program, contact the Board at 1-888-590-6726 and request the temporary license Refresher Application. Once the completed application and confirmation of successful completion of the theory portion of the program is received, a temporary license will be issued.  NOTE:  This temporary license is for use in completing the clinical portion of your Refresher Program only.  When the refresher program is completed in its entirety, you will need to comply with renewal requirements to activate your permanent license.

Below is a list of approved refresher programs. Please contact the organization directly for details regarding the individual programs.
